Associate Freestyle Teaching Qualification
Freestyle Teaching Qualification will enable the applicant to teach most popular dance trends including Freestyle Disco, Freestyle Slow, basic Streetdance and Lyrical. Each course is personalised to the student's needs and course duration is dependant on student's pace, with an average course duration of 7-8 months to complete. Students will be set theory work every 2 weeks and will attend regular weekly Practical sessions on a Saturday evening in small tutor groups.

Associate Streetdance Teaching QualificationStreetdance Teaching Qualification focuses on current urban trends including; Popping, Locking, Basic Breakdance and Lyrical Technique alongside Commercial Streetdance Techniques. Each course is personalised to the student's needs and course duration is dependant on student's pace, with an average course duration of 7-8 months to complete. Students will be set theory work every 2 weeks and will attend regular weekly Practical sessions on a Saturday evening in small tutor groups.

Summary - The International Dance Teachers Assocation teaching qualifications are recognised world wide, enabling the holder to teach in schools, extra curricular activities, gyms, stage/drama schools or their own dance. theatre school. Once qualified holders can enter students into I.D.T.A examinations and competitions generating a further income. Each style is taken as an individual course with the option of taking more than one course simultaneously.

Course Entry Requirements - Associate Teaching Course
Freestyle/ Street: Candidates 17-18 years must hold a minimum of grade 5/Student/Presidents award or higher qualification in freestyle/street OR Grade 5 or higher in Ballet or Modern Jazz with a recognised dance syllabus e.g I.D.T.A, B.A.T.D, R.A.D, I.S.T.D etc. Candidates 18 years or over who do not hold the relevant qualification can instead apply for an audition for course entry.
